PURE BRIDE DIY Pinwheel Board
You will need:
A piece of craft wood (find at local hardware store, choose your desired size)
Multiple pieces of different sized, coloured paper
A stapler
A hammer
Nails
Optional: yarn, doilies
Making your pinwheels: Using a range of coloured paper, make a 1.5cm (roughly) fold in one end of the paper. Turn over page and repeat on the opposite side of the page. Continue until you have a concertina shape throughout the paper. Fold in half and staple the adjoining lengths from the centre to the end. Stretch the fan around until the opposite sides meet to create a circle and staple from the middle out to fix. To make larger pinwheels, attached two or three fans together. It helps to secure the shape by tying a piece of yarn/string around the centre of each pinwheel - through the the small opening left when you stapled each side together.
Place on your piece of wood however you see fit - it is more effective to double up you pinwheel.
Hammer a nail into the centre of each pinwheel. To add the doilies, create two small holes in the centre and string the yarn through so that both ends remain on one side of the doily. Tie these ends to the yarn used to fasten the pinwheels together - very gently.
Perfect for wedding backdrops.
