You Will Need:

16 pieces of tissue paper (per pom pom)

A stapler

Scissors

Fishing line

To Make:

Take 16 pieces of tissue paper in a stack and carefully make a 3cm (roughly) fold - along the shorter side of the rectangle. Flip all the tissue paper over and do the same on the other side until you have a concertina shape through the stack of 16 pieces of paper. Staple in the middle (you may need to do this in 3-section folds as the paper is very thick!). Carefully cut a semicircle shape at the end of either side of the length. Tie a long piece of fishing line around the middle of the length of tissue paper. Gently stretch the end tips of both ends of the length towards each other - as if to create a circle fan. Gentle bring the top layer of tissue paper away from the circle so that it sticks up in the air. Do this piece-by-piece until it begins to resemble a flower. Once you have gone halfway down, gently turn over and begin on the other side - this side is trickier to manoeuvre! As you continue to do this, you will see the pom pom start to take shape. Once you are finished, hang from the fishing line and ruffle the tissue in places to even out the layers.
